While it has been transformed over recent years (former editor now edits Milk Street, to which I also subscribe), each copy is a thrill when unearthed from our mailbox. The recipes (tested and dissected) are reliably delicious (my right brain devours the recipes; my left brain enjoys reading the labored analysis and trials to create them). More so, the product, ingredient, and kitchen tool reviews and ratings are superb.”

“I don't think I would want to let my Cook's Illustrated magazine subscription lapse. I thoroughly enjoy it. It offers much more than just good recipes. Every month they have numerous hints and tips to make cooking much more fun and interesting, to say nothing of easier. They describe new products. They don't really review them. I think they believe, as I do, that everyone's review would be different. They simply treat me like an intelligent human being, describe the new item/technique and let me figure it out myself. I,personally like that. The recipes are good as well. Cook's Illustrated is one magazine I read cover to cover.”
